About the website

A cookie is a small text file that the website you visit asks to be allowed to store on your computer. Cookies are used on many websites in order to give visitors access to different functions. The information in the cookie may also be used to track your browsing on different websites that use the same cookie.

There are two types of cookies. One type saves a file that remains on your computer for a time: the cookie has an expiry date. This is used for functions that indicate what is new since you last visited the website in question, for example. Once the expiry date has passed, the cookie is automatically deleted when you return to the website that created it.

The second type of cookie is called a session cookie and has no expiry date. While you are browsing a website, this cookie is temporarily stored in your computer’s memory to keep tabs on what language you have selected, for example. Session cookies are not saved on your computer for a long period; they always disappear when you close your browser.
